Yup, I /always/ forget about them, but I mean, maybe this year will be different. You never know.

To round off the year. Here's a youtube vid that makes me laugh. :D

Eye Exam

So, I went to Linden Optometry today for my yearly eye exam. It's weird because I could swear that it had been more than a year ago that I got my eyes checked. I mean, the number of contacts would lean towards that; however, I apparently went in 2008. I'm so confused. Anyway, that's not the point of the story. The point of the story is that I was there for like ever. There was a problem with my insurance because of stuff and then there were many phone calls to be made and it was simply frustrating.

On the other hand, my eyesight didn't get any worse. Thank God for small favors, right? Except this isn't a 'small' favor. I mean, my eyesight's a pretty damn big thing.

Oo, dude, you know what I hate the most? The eye puff thing. "Just relax and look at the light." Yeah, I'd relax if I didn't know a puff of air was going to freaking hit my eyeball! "Don't squint." Yeah, she said that. I was like, "I'm trying not to." And then she had to do it several times because apparently the first time doing it wasn't good enough. But then the thing would get into place and then back off again. Apparently my eyes weren't open enough. But I was like tense with my forehead pressed against the machine blinking rapidly and apparently failing at keeping my eye open. It's like torture.

Such a boring day, ne? However, I did finish theh Lego Star Wars series. Admittedly, not 100% complete, but I did all the storylines so that I can freeplay them all. So, I'm like 75% done. Then they have that bounty hunters one that I'm going to start playing. That game is a little addictive. Or rather, when there's a game available, I'll get addicted to it. D:

One more demotivational poster for you.
Because both Batman and I don't like chocolate. :D

Merry Christmas

Might as well get that out of the way since I don't think I'll be blogging tomorrow. Go figure. Yesterday, I missed blogging because I went to a gift exchange sort of thing and it was pretty time consuming (in a good way of course). We ate, we opened presents, we played games. What else could you ask for? It's like the perfect way to spend the holidays.

It was kind of funny because we had a Wii on, playing a Mario game (I don't remember which one it was; but it was pretty evil actually) and instead of playing that we were playing Uno. Damn competitive people. It was pretty damn awesome actually. Uno's a trip. Half the time whenever I saw an 8 I was so ready to change the color and then I would remember, Uno... hello, not Crazy 8s. *game recognition fail.

Anyway... I asked for notebooks - obviously because I don't have enough notebooks. :) But really though, it's an obsession really and whenever I need a notebook, I always can't find one. What's up with that? Anyway, awesomeness on getting it for Christmas. Hey, I'm easy to shop for.

For the holidays...

way too much food. >__<

Forgot to mention...

Dude. I don't think I mentioned this in my Universal Studios Grinchmas entry. You get to go through the new metropolitan area! I was stupid excited about it too, and I probably took way more photos than strictly necessary since they're doing a pretty damn good job on their on chronologicalling it (yeah, that's not a word). Anyway, it's awesome. I've been waiting for it to open and you know they're going to have a new King Kong studio - since the old one burned down (now that is a travesty). All around awesome. (I'm way too biased when it comes to Universal even though I have a love-hate relationship with the place.)

Anyway, I forgot to mention in the last entry that I'm adding those random demotivation posters because I have way too much text in my entries and it amuses me. The pictures don't even have anything to do with the text, so if you're confused by the lack of cohesiveness, just ignore it. :D

This is my downright favorite. When I start laughing suddenly, it's because I just thought of this again. :D

<img title="demo_elephant" style="border-style: none;

Trufax.

Anyway, I hazarded going to the mall today to get one last present. It's crazy out there man. Don't do it if you don't have to. It's Monday, a little before noon, and there was absolutely no parking. But, it's mostly the parking that's crap. I guess the mall itself wasn't too bad and the lines to purchase weren't killer either. I mean, I was kind of lucky since they kept opening registers when I got into the line. I got a new lamb from Bath and Body though! I love those freaking stuffed lambs because they're the softest things ever! (yeah that warranted an exclamation point.)

Not much else to blog about. I'm kind of going crazy with my free time considering all I do is play Lego Star Wars. I'm in Episode IV right now and my thumb kind of hurts from all the joystick controlling. They had a special Annual Pass Member thing where we got a free cookie, hot chocolate, and a picture with the Grinch. A special picture with the Grinch since there were photo-ops in the park in general as well. The line was long. The food was good. And the picture with the Grinch was okay - my eyes were closed. I was a little disappointed because I was going to buy it, but still. Anyway, Max (the dog) was there as well. Cute as all hell. They had a lot of dogs actually playing that dog. I mean, all they needed were brown dogs, so it wasn't like it was impossible to find or something, but still. A lot.

There were a lot of people there actually. Annoying, but I'm a little happy for Universal. I'm always happy when there are people there though. It means that the park won't get sold or changed into something else or something. Quite the optimist I am, right?

Anyway, here's a parting picture from Demotivate Us - love demotivational pictures. :D This is so mean, btw.

<img title="demo_49percent" style="border-style: none; (and funny though).

Church

I spent the entire day at church or talking about God.

I woke up and after dropping my mom off at the convention center (one of two things not related to God today), I went straight to my parish church because my dad had requested that I help out since the statues in the church needed to be cleaned. You know, Christmas is coming and everything needs to be brand new for Jesus' birthday party. :D Naw, really though, the new pastor wanted everything spiffed up for Christmas and my dad volunteered which inevitably got me volunteered to help. It was the two of us basically cleaning up all the statues of the Stations of the Cross (we had to climb a ladder and there was a method... dry cloth to dust, wet cloth to clean further, and pledge to make shiny).

I'm not cool with heights generally speaking, but you know what I say, if I didn't do things that freaked me out, I really would never do anything. That wasn't the bad part though, we had to clean two other wall statues that are uber tall and the main crucifix behind the altar which is crazy tall. Crap that was freaky. The ladder shakes and crap; at least, for the Stations of the Cross we used one of those ladders that can stand by itself (upside down V), but for the taller ones we had to use the ladders that you lean against the walls.

Anyway, we were there from 8:30 to 3:30. Yeah. wth? After, sure, I went home and relaxed a bit, played some Lego Star Wars, but I went to mass at 5 - more church. Then, I thought I'd get a break because we had a dinner party to go to, to celebrate someone's birthday. One of the people invited was a priest and we spent the whole dinner talking about the church, God, and the bible. The. Entire. Dinner. We were having bible study at this guy's birthday. I felt uber bad for him. Like truly. But maybe it's just me. I mean, I wouldn't quite want that topic of conversation at my dinner party. *shrugs

Yeah. It was a holy day today. :D

Epic Win

So, I have a headache right now, but we finally bought a tree... at the third tree place we went to. I'm officially dubbing Home Depot as first stop for all tree needs. We went to a YMCA one, you know to support the children. Their noble firs were like $80. Shit, it's a tree that's going to die pretty soon. I'm not spending $80 on it. We went to teh one at Costco, but they were charging an arm and a leg for trees as well and most of them were dry. So we finally went to Home Depot. Yeah, we spent all afternoon looking for a tree, but I think we got a really great one.

:D

Anyway, for the Epic Win... I was doing my regular checking out of failblog.org and was redirected to epic win (go figure) and I thought this was freaking awesome.

What once was, right?

In. I mean, it's always tempting to go the easy way, but I'd been studying for this stupid test for two whole days and I was ready to pass or fail solely through my own efforts. I mean, two days were not enough - I can tell you that much, since I had to read more than 3/4ths of the whole (1500 page) book. Hell, it was so much information I was pretty sure I wouldn't remember anything. And here was my chance to cheat with other people... why didn't I? Why?

Honestly, I don't know. I've seen my classmates cheat at any given opportunity. I don't know why the chef didn't take better precautions, but he just didn't. Heck, maybe the tests don't matter at all (because I don't think I remotely got an A in that final exam). Who knows?

I was torn because I wanted to tell the chef that people were cheating but I didn't actually want to have to name exactly who - I kind of just hope that the phrase 'cheaters never prosper' is true and karma finds a way to even out the world (even though I know sometimes that isn't true, bed (lol typo) bad things'll happen to anyone; same with good things.) I like those people and I know that some people just don't do well with tests. It's just I wanted to curse at them and tell them it wasn't fair. And I think that's what really gets me. It's not fair. Not that they were cheating in general, but that other people wouldn't be given the same opportunity (or it could just be all those freaking years in catholic school.).

So, I left the room where they were and went to a different classroom so that I could take the test by myself. And even there, I was sorely tempted because I had my book and crap, I barely refrained from doing that.

It's over though so it doesn't matter. I passed the freaking class without cheating on the final, and I was finally able to sign up for next semester. I hope it's going to go well since it's bread! BREAD! That's what I want to be good at, but I don't know how well it'll go.

That's it for today (I have a lot to catch up on actually since I've been gone for forever, but I needed to blog about that).
